About the Department

The Department of Physics at Ghaghra Science College, Bagodar was established in the year 2021 with the aim of imparting quality education in fundamental and applied physics. Affiliated with Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag, the Department offers undergraduate education under the Four Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) as per the National Education Policy (NEP–2020).

Physics is a foundational science that explains the fundamental laws governing nature, from atomic and subatomic particles to the vast universe. The department strives to develop scientific reasoning, analytical thinking, and experimental skills among students. Under the guidance of HOD Dr. Sunita Kumari the Department is thriving high and students are well aware of the recent development in the field of Physics.

The curriculum is framed by Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag in accordance with UGC guidelines and NEP–2020. It aims to:

Under the FYUGP (Four Year Undergraduate Programme):

  • Eight semesters from Semester I to Semester VIII
